Mines is mapped dyno says 226bhp with only the tegiwa airbox and miltek non res exhaust vtec is 3500bhp bit low in my opinion
Id love the tegiwa airbox, but does not fit since I have a LHD, tegiwa failed to tell me this on the webpage and i had it returned sadly, I may go with a custom airbox or just get a GruppeM too.
My vtec point is set at 5000rpm/5800rpm.

I have SRI + RRC + FD2 TB + Tegiwa Header + SRS 2.5 Catback.
The EP3 has a similar setup and it got 246hp - 251nm.

Finally stopped procrastinating and (with encouragement from Pitlane) put my plate on the car, like I should have done back in the summer but didn't.
Which means, finally, both our cars have thier matching plates on. Should look nice parked up side by side at shows etc :)

i dont feel so bad tootling along at 65mph in 6th in Betty (sits right under turbo kick in @65mph) and hitting 35.x mpg, sit at 70 and itll drop to around 30mpg with over 300bhp under my right foot, that's quite impressive even in this weather, ill see another 3 or 4 if i go super ul.

thats nipping into town 30mph 2 mile and a 15mile A class road drive to work, about all she has had since week before christmas, shes still clean @JayR35 :p

nice warm sunny day (6C) thought about a quick wax but meh might take her for a spin instead, looks to be same forecast for tomorrow.

Mine is set at 4k and revs to 9k, I find the 4k just right for road use.
I think 4000rpm is fine too, just needs to be mapped correctly, I personally like to set it at 5k rpm, less chance to hit vtec accidentally while driving around, also found 90% times, the car makes better hp/torque in low cam at that rpm range than in vtec, plus better economy.
But everyone has different setups and preferences, in the end, its what you like more that wins haha.

Bought a silly Tein key ring... Was going to give it to the wife but she didn't find it funny as she's knocked around by the stiff suspension every time she sits in the car.

Also trying to scrub out the petrol smell from the interior after the fuel pump debacle... Will scrub and wash all 4 car mats to dry out near a radiator or the boiler indoors, then I'll spice them up with odour eater on top... Problem is some petrol splashed down onto the interior carpet and it's winter so it won't be easily diluted to scrub out.

About to buy some new boot gas struts too, weighting up between paying a few more £ for Merc ML W163 ones which have a stronger lift action (as in rated about 100nm more per strut which is quite a difference!). An old forum post said the stronger struts almost upper cutted their wife in the face first time the boot was opened :censored:

Black wheel nuts (bargain price at cox motor parts currently) to go with my gloss black and Milano red theme, adjustable Powerflex EXH011 exhaust mount to replace the rubber on my single exit to stop it banging on the exhaust triangle !
Nice nuts!

Front brakes done today, didn't have time for the rear ones, taking the 2 screws off that hold brake disks in place was a massive pain in the [email protected]@e 🙄
On the very first test ride brakes smell really bad, i will take it was the coat on the break discs that was rubbing off (Mtec coated discs), after 10 minutes driving and smooth braking smell gone.
A bit of researching online found out that they need 300-400 miles to bed in, sounds a lot doesn't it? Any opinion is welcome 🙂
