Made my windscreen star crack worse by using a windscreen repair kit. They are wank. Don’t work for ****. Although, I’m sure the resin will prevent any further damage by filling and holding together the cracks.

Think the pressure of the little screw in tube was too much. Not a great design tbh.

I tell you what does work though, turtle wax headlight restorer kit. Not made either the Civic or Fiesta look like new, but they look a damned sight better than they did this morning.

Clarity of both has increased by 60%+. Still got tide marks at the top of the lights on the Civic, but yellowing is gone.

Fiesta is amazing. Both front pods were completely yellow and hazed. Now they aren’t. Very impressed.

Just about stretched the kit to two cars. It’s the final wipes that mean you couldn’t use it for multiple cars. Just about stretched them to two sets of headlights.

Thanks @BossHogg for the recommendation.

ECP Product code 550773608 - £12. We’ll worth the time, effort and money.

Washed and waxed, now going around with my note pad to see what I need too carry out to make it pretty pristine.
1. New front lights, been polished going off
2. New rear central light cluster, cracked
3. Rear type r badge, worn
4. Both rear arch trims, pitted
5. New alloys or restore(gun metal)
6. Vented bonnet
5. Maxton kit
bit of a list but once these are replaced will look A1 and the look I require

No idea if something is wrong with my 1.8 engine or it's me.

Got a low oil light warning earlier o_O Shoved about half a litre in it.

I blame the dipstick as it's utterly [email protected] especially when clean fresh oil is concerned as it's extremely hard to read.

Seems like the engine takes about 4.25 litres rather than the advertised 3.7 litres as I recall filling it last oil change and it didn't lose anymore oil after a few weeks of driving until the next change.

Changed the front strut coil springs today as one had snapped near the top, not unusual for the roads and speed humps around here. What I was surprised at the fact that Honda do show the top strut bearings as available on their parts site, Cox supplied it though with the bump stop and dust cover, but not cheap. Secondly how easy do those driveshafts pop out of their housings! Never had it happen on Fords, and took great care for it not to happen on the second strut I took off, but no.. still managed to pop out!

Very easy, mine did when I changed mine, easy enough to push back in but it’s a little unsettling when it does.

There's a knack to getting the driveshaft back in, don't force it. Just turn and push it until it slides in.

Hard to explain unless you've done it before.

I got my strut bearings, bump stops etc from Car Parts in Motion, most were Borg and Beck branded. Seem fine after 10k ish miles and a year.

Got a series of dents over the driver's door removed by Dent Devils Eastbourne.
Did a fantastic job with cold glue tabs and his hammers, can't see any of them now.

Warning - managed to do this leaning over the bodywork to put new screen top seal in. Shell is made of tin foil and my body/clothing pushed in a series of vertical dents.
