when they fitted, are we allowed to then shout new shoeezzzz! :D (some may not get it) do thedisks stay black? if so i know what im swapping out next :D
They don’t fully stay black mate it’s just an anti corrosion coating. So anywhere the pad touches will wear to silver. All the edges and hub should though.

I bought the matching rear black disks too

awww, although that would still look better than the oem grey/red oxide after a couple year.

Small addition to the boot today. I always think the Gen10 has less spaces for things, especially in the boot. So picked up these off Aliexpress.

So washdown and out with superswirl bottles of Poorboy's, lifted the black n grime out the scratches on the plastic arches...phew! The 0anel got a going and thank f for white, I've lifted majority but you see a oddity in the reflection but no scratches now visible in sunlight anyways.

Bottom of arch n skirt touched up with CW pen and black high gloss for the skirt damage.

I'll rub down the blob of CW on Sunday, happy with result so far.

And lol yes the rears are still stamped zr rated lol they came with car 35k miles ago......still 3.5+ mm of tread.....🤪

Things I've done over the last few weeks -
Engine mounts - Manifold started knocking on the top of the subframe again (SolidFabs), found the front engine mount had lost the silicone I'd filled it with a few years ago, I've had a spare set of mounts and some of the inserts (can't be that bad as they feel rather soft) to put in them for ages, so decided to try them while I filled the mount again and let it set (takes forever). Fitted them to all 3 inserts, reversed the car out of the garage and then straight back in (steering wheel felt like a jack hammer) and removed the inserts from the rear top mount (easy to get at). Used the car for work the next day and then removed the insert from the lower rear mount, ran the car for 2 weeks with just the front insert in and changed it for the one I'd filled with silicone, car is now smooth again and the exhaust not knocking, I wouldn't recommend the inserts.
Brake discs and pads - Got a new set April last year (sale) and just got round to fitting them (Pagid & EBC red stuff), quite impressed with them (I think EBC have improved a lot over the years) they are quiet, bite well and hardly any dust, they have replaced some DS2500 (not much left), which are great but stick like s--t to the discs when it's wet. Was going to change the brake fluid, but snapped the first bleed valve I tried on the rear caliper, got a set of rear calipers (refurbed and powder coated) from Dean Scicluna (Facebook marketplace) hopefully get them fitted (this year)
Engine tuned - Finally got the car to Dynodaze, this morning. Had a nice safe remap as the car has a cat in the exhaust and they managed to squeeze 234bhp out of it on Hondata Flashpro, been using this for a few years (when things cost less) which was better and smoother than the map I had tuned it to myself.
Actually thinking of swapping to ECUTEK as a future mod.

Come on now stop being silly, no need to sell. You love the hassle of having to clean and buff the car, it’s your lifes intention, otherwise what else do we have🤣🤣🤣🤣

I can relate. Some cretin in work side swiped the front on my Type S and scraped front splitter and just above fog light. Camera on site is useless. Got it fixed for €230 - was expecting a lot more tbh.

At least you know who hit you at least.

Yer kinda I checked their motor no marks...suspect it was alloys n tyre, least 90%of it I was able to recover, dull day today and you can see a very faint set of lines :( machine polish time I think I've got worst of it at least. Was toying with new rear plastic arches due to putting around rear doors. But the panel part is alu and part of the rear panel structure.

Serviced the car today. Old pollen filter was very dirty, last changed around 9 months ago.

Wipers were playing up and stopping in random positions. Bought a wiper motor from eBay which came complete with the rack for £25. Swapped the motor onto old linkage as old one was in better condition. All working fine now.

Also noticed a small blob of tiny metal shavings in the oil pan from the drained oil, haven’t seen this before

Seems a little strange to be finding that, doesn’t even look like it’s covered in oil and bone dry.
