Honda are doing to the jazz what Nissan has done to the all new X-trail
build an all new car (but keeping the original design very much in mind)
the current jazz is loved so much it would be silly for them to make big
changes
fully agree ,a drastic change would be too risky . Honda will want current jazz lowners to simply upgrade to this model.
Honda say the new engines will be a revised 1.2dsi. The current american 1.5vtec & a new 1.3 diesel.
Rumour has it the the 1.0 hybrid from the insight could feature later on ??
Not sure about that design. It is a bit heavy-nosed like the Yaris. I always wanted the 1.5 Vtec, so it will come to the UK now that I've got a Civic.
The rumours of a hybrid seem to have gone quiet lately. With the low VED / Congestion charge thing plus the US launch of the car last year, it seems very likely that they will do one. The original rumour suggested that the front end of the Jazz is the same layout as the Impact, making it easier to do.
New Jazz? I've a Jazz at the moment (changing it for a Civic, not sure whether to go for a Petrol or Diesel). Anyhow thinking a new Jazz was on its way I phoned Honda who said a definite 'no', it is just a rumour; the current model is not due to be replaced for some time.
