Hi All,

I have a 53 plate 1.4 civic and it's due a cambelt change. I got a quote whilst having the MOT done today for £253. This will cover having the timing belt and waterpump changed. The garage has always been spot on with work i've had to have done before but as I've never had to have this changed on a car before could anyone please advise whether this is about right or if it's too much

But did it include the water pump?

£253 doesn't sound unreasonable for a water pump and timing belt fitted in my opinion.

No I missed that bit timing belt only.

my mate got his ek shape civic 1.4 done couple years ago including water pump and new auxillary belts for £300 ish

Hi Guys

I've just called honda garage to find out how much is it to change a timebelt and they quoted me £210 and kwikfit had quoted me £310 - i know who to go to with they provide a replace car for me?
