This forum is a pretty global one with members from all over the world and it made me think about availability of actual tuning houses and their costs following on from a lot of threads about "remote" tuning.
Certainly in the UK there are workshops with Dyno's in pretty much every town. Some general shops that do all sorts of stuff then you get the specialists which tend to concentrate on certain types of cars like ourselves. (TDi North)
We are based in Warrington and there are actually 4 workshops with full dyno facilities within about a 5 mile radius so you can see there is a lot of scope for getting your car just tested or actually calibrated.

In the UK Typical Dyno runs are about £45 (50EUR) and tuning can start from about £300 to about £650 for some places doing the GTR's etc.

Is it a case in other countries like Poland, Portugal, Italy etc that there aren't places you can go to?
Also whats the typical tuning costs and dyno time like? I know some places are comparatively expensive to what we have in the UK and an example is a trip I recently made to Cyprus to do some tuning where the local rate is 600EUR just to load a map in and another 600EUR if you want it setting up on a dyno![smilie=shock.gif]

Be interested to hear what it's like in other places as in the UK we are pretty much swamped with them and at a relatively cheap price.

in portugal a dyno run goes from 30 to 50 euros (different dynos).
The most popular dynos are probably the MAHA or rotronics. we also have one dynodynamics and many VAMAG dynos (that i don't like)
the cost of a dyno tune on a honda is probably in the range of 300-400 euros. There are many that tune kpro but none that tune flashpro (the fn2 is not popular in portugal because the price was about 37.000 euros)

The closest dyno to me Is about an hour away. The company doesn't offer tuning for my FN3, and said they would do dyno run for €200!! There is a car show coming to my town on the 4th of July that will have a dyno for €40 IF more than 10 people agree to use it, if not it will be €100.

Don't know the conversions, but a tune in the USA is between 350-550 USD. Varies from shop to shop as more renowned (well... more expensive haha) like to charge almost $185/hr for the first 3 hours, then 150/hr after that. Other shops tend to have a flat fee then send you on your way.

I prefer the dyno rentals that cost 95 USD for an hour of use... and I only need like 45 minutes hehe

Amatuzzi Tuned Joao's FD2, i know that much.
In PassilAuto, Results 245hp in 4th , 255hp in 5th. Dont have the graf so cant comment on power line.

Ricardo and Miguel were working on the car and as some know the FlashPro for FD2 had alot of issues at the start, they worked with Doug to try solve them. Also wasnt easy to conect a external Wideband... Sorted in the end, but he then chose to go to Amatuzzi...

I also know Ricardo has worked on a FN2, but dont know the results. Know MAF was deleted and IAT sensor installed. So, just MAP calibrations are possible there...

amattuzi tuning with flashpro lol
they never knew to tune a k20. There "tuner" in the turbo builds was C2 racing.
245HP in 4th? Fd2 with groupem, toda mani and exhaust and FP? Great result...
my car had 242HP on a MAHA before TB and oil pump...
They deleted the MAF as they don't know to tune on AFM

I also thought the results were a bit shy.

They could still tune it in MAP end keep the MAF sensor... Im still running your MAP cal...

With a bigger intake pipe VitViper also agrees in deleting the MAF and switch to IAT sensor, running the car in MAP only.

In GR there are many dynoes especially in Athens and the cost for a run is 50-70 euros depends on the dyno type.

tune for fn2s is around 300 euros for aprox 7 dyno runs!

If I were to trust anyone in Belgium to tune my car I know of only one place I'd have it done.

They charge 125€ for a simple dynorun and tuning Flashpro would require 1295€

Haha. What a ripoff. Can you be more specific and tell us who this magic flashpro wizard is?

For that kind of money I expect at least 350 bhp and 500 lbs of torque LOL.

1295 for tuning on this car is a rip off as culasse wrote!

You should come to Greece and spend 1000 euros for summer vacation and 300 euros for tuning!

i'll be more than happy to arrange the tuning for you!

To be more precise I do not know if this 1250€ includes the actual Flashpro, separate price for that is 795€.

Other items on their pricelist are OBD tuning ranging from 695 to 1295€, Unichip tuning from 695-995€, Hondata S300 tuning 1195€ (S300 price 595€), Hondata Kpro tuning 1495€ (K-pro priced 1095€).

That must be Intertuning from Belgium. The owner, Gerry is his name I believe, is to be avoided like the plague when it comes to FN2 mapping.
This man has no clue.

I saw some of his handywork when a kid came to me complaining about the miserable driveability of his FN2. Intertuning provided him with two custom tuned maps, a MAF and MAP calibration.
Especially the MAF calibration caused the car to run badly.

I couldn`t believe my eyes when I analysed both calibrations. Made a list with all the things that were wrong. I had close to 30 faults in the maps combined and sent it over to him.
He said he had been back to Intertuning complaining about the poor performance of the car but they left him out in the cold.
I haven`t heard anything back from him.

You got me a bit confused now. First you say that this company is the only one you trust in mapping the FN2 and then you agree with me when I say these people can`t be trusted.

I said if I were to trust anyone here and I don't. This should give you an indication of how little faith I have in the rest. I probably should have worded it a little better :p As if I would pay these kind of prices for a flashpro tune...
