If you was to start from scratch putting new mods on your car how would you start off?

im looking to put simple mods onto my car ctr fn2 inside and out but have no real experience but willing to give it a go. any help or tips would be gratefully appreciated.

i started simple with window tints and my civinfo sticker ;)
got some heko wind deflectors and hadnt planned much more but thanks to some encouragement from other members i just fitted a hks rsk on friday there and have a blueflame exhaust on order :) and i know that wont be the end of it :facepalm:

i too had no experience but learned pretty quick by reading loads on here

The list is endless and really depend on your taste and how deep your pocket goes.

Have a look around the forum there are plenty of different things.

Getting one of these next month, can you describe what I'll get from it?

Sound, performance etc

2-3hp when tuned and the sound is undescribable... its amazing. You will love it!!!

Depends how deep your pocket it =)

Other mods you can do:

Flashpro
Throttlebody
Intake
Exhaust
Intake manifold
Exhaust manifold
Cams
Killer Kit (if you want this you better hurry)
Supercharger
Turbo (although I havnt seen any turbo'd FN2s)

Then you start going into the likes of:

Stroker kits
Frankenstein build (K20 bottom K24 head)
Porting

etc etc I'm sure i've missed loadsand there are loads of Brands to choose from that give different gains, disadvantages and advantages.

Best speak to TDI / North and tell them what you can spend and what you want to improve, they'll definatly point you in the right direction.

Mate, you're a star, thanks very much. I've focussed on the exterior so far but it's about time I treat her to some grunt under the bonnet :)

I'll definitely speak to TDI when the car budget magically refills itself.

My order of doing things if I were doing it would be as follows.
1) GP Pack
2) Window Tints
3) Securaty
4) Coilover setup with FRS
5) BBK on front and BH and rear brakes
6) Flash Pro
7) Cat back Exs system
8) Intake My personal preff would be GM
9) Exs Mani and high flow Cat
10) Uprated clutch and poss Flywheel
11) Intake Mani and bigger TB
12) Uprated Con rods poss Pistans
13) Raise rev limit to 9K
That is how I would do it personaly and the order if I where to start over.

Why security? The CTR already has an alarm and immobiliser :p Unless you want some guy to say "Step away from the vehicle" if anyone gets to close I dont get the point :p

As the standard system does not have various things that I like such as tilt sensin and remote boot relese and glass brakage plus I have always used Clifford alarms on all my cars.
