I have just run a filter on the Satisfaction survey of 79 owners of the Type R. It seems we are a reasonably happy lot. Its quite easy to run the filter and here are the survey findings:

Last time i checked this was 2007, so how could 11.27% have a 2008 car?

I just hope it's not the same 2 people who keep on having all the faults... :(

although how 1 or 2 people can claim 'awful' for steering, roadholding and brakes, but then no one said 'awful' for driving excitement...

LOL - although I guess having awful brakes, steering and roadholding would be fairly exciting :wink:

It seems really strange that a 1 or 2 people rated 45 Steering , 46 Roadholding, 47 Brakes as awful. Either there is something seriously wrong with their cars or they are rogue voters (Ford or VW employees / perhaps ??). Is there any way of finding out who voted this and asking them ?

28% rating paintwork as faulty is unacceptable. I am guesssing it is to do with ease of paint chipping from what has been said on the forum, but it would be interesting to find out for sure from those that rated it so low. Note most of the 28% hadn't complained to the dealer. I have only picked up one small stone chip in 1800 miles (and I heard the stone hit the bonnet), so mine seems OK.

Only 6.33 % complaints about the gearbox is poor for Honda, but at least it seems the 3rd gear problem is not too widespread, considering all the discussion on the forums. My gearbox is perfect at the moment for example. Note 2 owners said the dealer had fixed the fault - can they tell us how this was done?
