Evening,

Seen a Type S on here with an aftermarket Webasto sunroof and was wondering if there was anything structural that would stop me being able to fit one to a Type R?

In an ideal world id love the panoramic roof...but making do with an electric sunroof would be fine.

Also seen they do a full rag retractable type one as well...might not look too great on the CTR, but would be fantastic to have. Not sure of the safety aspect with cutting out the middle supporting cross beam though! :D

Have you got a link to this type s?

As far as I'm aware the only reason the type r doesn't have a glass roof the same as the type s is for weight reasons. Therefore if you have seen an aftermarket sun roof fitted to a type s I see no reason why it can't be fitted to a type r.

I looked into getting one fitted in my old car last year (non civic) and the price was very reasonable! £180 got you a 'pop' roof fitted (whole glass could be removed and laid in the boot) or £350 would get you an retracting electric one! Webasto too.

A full rag type roof was £850! Does require removal of the centre strut/support.
