Morning all,

Picked up a Milano red 09 S GT yesterday. As the owner of a Mazda RX8 and an old garaged 4th Gen Prelude v-tec, can I say how brilliant it is to be back in a Honda.

Thought I might be dissapointed after going from a 231hp bespoke sports car - especially since I went for the diesel - but not a bit of it. I bloody love this car. And not as a compromise to the RX8 but in comparison to it. Very quick, bags of torque and handling is better, yes better than the Mazda.

Going from 16 mpg to 40+ mpg is a nice bonus also - not to mention the tax and insurance!

Sadly though, it has the black trim. I have spoken to my local Honda bods and they want just over £1000 for the various milano bits - arches, skirts and lower bumper spoilers.

So I thought, "I wonder if they can be painted?" Many on this forum seem to have had this done with great success - but I cannot find anyone in Suffolk (Ipswich). Would appreciate any knowledge of a body shop that can colour code without it peeling of at 65 mph!

Anyhoo - nice to be here... Will up some pics when I scrape off the dealer grime!

Norwich is absolutley fine, my home city! Recommend away...
Home:Vehicle Accident Body Repairs Norfolk, norwich car body repairs - Great guys, had them do work on my last few cars, they are great at colour matching and will do a good price for cash ;)

Norfolk's Premier Accident & Repair Centre | The Body Centre Ltd | Norwich | Norfolk | 01603 410777 - Are Honda Approved, a small bit more expensive than C&S but will keep your anti-corrosion warranty intact if your getting bodywork painted.

First - welcome ! ...

Second - I just had the plastic trim painted, at a place in the Midlands (an independent body shop) - they took some £650, but that included respraying both bumpers as well ...

Do NOT go to Honda, to buy coloured trim, or to have existing trim painted ...

Find a good 'accident damage' specialist ...
