Hey,

Right the other day I was looking at my type s and noticed that the drivers side rear looks lower than the passenger side rear? As in the gap between the tyre and the arch!

Now I do have the odd creak when reversing off the drive in the morning but apart from that nothing, drives and rides normaly no adverse sounds! Could this be a failed shock on one side?!

The cars got 1 months used Honda warrenty left so I would hope it would be covered?!

am assuming its parked on the level?? if so, get it in to your dealer for them to have a look

Seized shock possibly ...push up and down on the boot corner ?
More likely spring has popped off the seat.
Costel1 had that problem.

Yeah it was parked on the level, on the one side I could fit my fist in the gap and on the other I couldn't.......scientific I know

I will book it in tomorrow I think! But I am right in think this would be covered on a Honda used warrenty?

Might be a coilover Difficult to say without seeing.

Had a coilover go on both of my last cars (Fords [smilie=eyeroll.gif])

sounds like a spring to me.
happened to my old fiat, the only way i realised what it was exactly was because the broken end of the broken spring chewed up two tyres...
that was covered by a fiat used car warranty, they even paid for the tyres, which was nice...

I have had this on my R..

I spotted it sitting lob sided at the rear. I have only spotted it a few times and 2 were in the same multi story car park & spaces very close to each other.

But then i go to the local Tesco and it sits fine, on my road it also sat fine.

Seemed to respond ok from being pushed down on the corners too, but then in another car park it sat perfect.

I also have a squeak from the rear suspension when i reverse off my drive, sometimes it will carry on when driving for about 10 seconds up the hill.

Thanks for the replys Yeah it's only on the back drivers side!

On my drive which is slanted its the same on both sides, but as soon as your on the flat it's lob sided. I checked it at work and in new new flat car park and at both it was lob sided. Think what ever it turns out to be it will be suspension related on that one side!

On the bright side I have been meaning to book it in for my wing mirror as its not heating up lol do two birds one stone and all that
