Okay guys, heres my plans :)

I have a Type S in Milano Red and so far what i have done with it is this.

Colour coded the body kit
Fitted Type R Spoiler
Replaced all the H badges with red H badges inc steering wheel
Replaced the gear knob thing with a Type R one with Gaiter.
Added Tyoe S decals to both sides and added Type S badge to grill.

My next lot of mods are :-

Replacing the springs with uprated lowered springs
Adding 18" OEM Type R Alloys
Replacing the rear Type S badge with the old style Red S Type S badge to match all the other decals and badges

Big change possibly

Replace interior with Type R interior

My goal is as follows, to have a Type S that looks like a stock Type R, but keeping all Type S livery so as not to cheese off you FN2 owners

Its way cheaper doing this that actually buying and running a type R :)

what do you guys think ?

Defo get the type r alloys they make a massive difference! Don't know if you saw my post bud but I'm having spot of bother with my colour coding on my type s. Does yours show up a different shade at night under street lighting?

Honesty, after you have done all this and declared to insurance they won't be anything in cost I don't reckon.

My type r was really economical and ok to insure. Don't worry about the badges as it would upset me at all. Make it for you not anyone else

No mate, mines fine but then it was done by a good body shop up here in Newcastle - Premier Body Repair - who also fitted the spoiler.

Here is a pic of my car i took in the carport at work the other night

I've Nearly finished my Type-R styled "S"

My Mods so far:

Colour coded GP pack front and rear
Colour coded "City Pack"
Type-R grill
Type-R rear spoiler
Type-R rear lights and centre piece
Type-R alloys
Type-R front bucket seats
Type-R rear seats with centre seatbelt conversion
Type-R doorcards and rear panels
Type-R Red dashboard panel, speedo and aircon display
Type-R centre console, gear surround, gaiter and gearknob
Type-R handbrake lever
Type-R front brakes (still to be fitted)
Milltek non resonated exhaust with conversion pipe

Parts left to do:

Type-R red carpet
Lowering springs

A few pics for encouragement :)

(ignore the white roof, an experiment gone bad :( )

And a little tip for the steering wheel stitching (colour it in using a red CD marker :D )

Good luck with the modding mate :popcorn2:

OMG - Mate you could become my best friend - you've done everything i want to do..... Where did you get your interior, did you buy it complete or get it in bits and pieces, looks awesome mate.

wish you lived closer

gonna go buy a red CD pen tomorrow and do the steering wheel :) mate send me some more pics of the interior especially the centre console, is it much different to the type s one.

I can get a set of seats cheap but they have had the airbags deployed, was just gonna get them restitched, what do you think ?

The centre console isnt much different, its just the metallic flip up cubby hole flap didn't match the gearlever surround (Type-R has a darker looking metallic plastic). Same with handbrake lever.

I'm sure if the side airbags have deployed it will throw up an error/warning on dash. (MOT fail ?)

How has the colouring in gone ? ;)

Where did you get the type s badge for your grille from mate? I've seen a one on ebay for £10 but his stuff is getting mixed reviews.

We'll got my seats in now, waiting on my gear surround to arrive then it's off with the old fairer and felt tip pen in hand, colouring in the stitching lol

Sounds crazy but really effective

Next job , rear light thing, hopefully Texas will come through on that

Here she is now, we'll sunday morning, has the type r seats in now and am in the process of removing the TYPE S decals and badges :)

Might replace the S with an R for a laugh, you think thats a good idea or will the FN2 owners take offence at my superior petrol mpg lol
