Auto Express group test of sporty hatchbacks - Type S vs Astra and C4

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/grouptests/203638/honda_civic_type_s_v_vauxhall_astra_sport_hatch_v_citroen_c4_coupe.html

There’s a large gulf between the winner and the two runners-up. The Civic Type S is the best car here by a country mile. The revised suspension and wider track have given the crisp chassis even more bite, while the clever rear seats and large boot are unaltered from the five-door.
They tested the 2.2 mind

A Finnish magazine had one with a Civic, Astra and a C4 and a Dodge Caliber and guess what - the C4 won!

The main point was that they couldn't get the Civic to accelerate 0-60 in under 9.5 seconds. Bet they never saw any orange rev lights either.

Oh, and they also claimed that Honda had replaced the spare tyre with a can of repair gunk. They haven't. Not in Finland.

Any Finn who's interested, go buy the latest TM, or Tekniikan Maailma.

Civic's boot capacity

Civic is a great car but it is absolutely rubbish when I read in that review that Civic's boot capacity is 485 litres plus "an extra 70-litre space under the floor". In fact boot capacity is 386 plus 70 litres under the floor and two extra small compartments with 29 litres capacity where tools, TRK and etc are stored.
