Hi, i've got a 57 plate type r with 15k on the clock.just had to have a new tyre on n/s front which was down to the wear bars, but the o/s front still has 5mm of tread left on.any thoughts on this would be welcome as it seems a bit of a difference.the n/s has had a new suspension leg and assorted parts after i was knocked into the kerb, in an accident in snow.the car was repaired at a honda body shop and was 4 wheel laser aligned.the tyre that came off had worn level with no scrubbing, the car does not pull to one side when driving, steering feels fine, any ideas would be welcome.

If you've had the car from new that does seem baffling, given your last sentence. Watch carefully what happens to the new n/s front, a natter to a tyre dealer (chief) might help, they seem to know what they are on about in my experience.

If you've not had the car from new: has someone changed the o/s front for one of the rears at one time? - Check if the rears have same tread left.
15K seems a bit low for a change anyway, but....it is a Type R...

It's not been aligned right when the suspension went back on.
Get it checked out properly by a specialist who knows exactly what they are looking at. Just 1mm will be enough to get uneven wear

yes, i've had the car from new and keep an eye on the tyres, but this just seem's to happend quite quickly. The new suspension was fitted buy honda body shop, and supposed expert came in to laser align all four wheels. The tyre wear is even across both front tyres, except for the difference in tread depth?
