Hi eveyone.
I currently have 225 40 18 tyres on the car now but am struggling with tractionin the lowers gears. Yokohama Advan AD08.
I was thinking about these options.
1, Running wider tyres 235/245? (every little helps)
2, Having the fly by wire throttle dampened down a little?
3, Having a bigger pully put on and mapping to around 350BHP. (Current BHP 440)

Try different tyres. Federal RSR's have had a great effect on Duncans K24 compared to the AD08's

You may have trouble with the rear arches if you fit a different size tyre.

As Alex says - try a stickier compound. Another alternative would be to look at some kind of traction control by gear. However, you're always going to struggle with that much power in a FWD car - it's just down to the laws of physics

The BBG? Seems it's more aimed at the guys with turbo conversions than s/c going by what the US forums say. It does work with s/c though as TDi have shown.

The traction control module is silly money.

I was trying to source some oem tyres re070 potenza s but I'm struggling. I have a set of r888 also but read somewhere that they are not the best for the fd2?
I called Honda today to order a new battery. While I was there I asked to price up some oem tyres they only came up as potenzas on the screen £800+ each tyre?

IIRC Bridgestone don't even make the OEM tyres anymore which will be why you're struggling. Why would r888's be a problem on the FD2?

I read that the walls are to soft!
But I personally thought the walls was pretty stiff?
But I'm no tyre expert.
What would be recommended tyre to have?
I will run 235 on front 225 on rear.

You could try a higher ratio diff + bigger tyres if available...wider tyres too if you have space.

What diff is OEM ?
what diff can you get ?
what is OEM wheel tyre offset ?

What tyre wheels and offset can be fitted to the FD2 ?
