Like many diesel owners here, my clutch has been slipping for a while and is not getting any better, it is also very heavy so I think its time for it to get replaced. I plan on getting the Celtic 192bhp remap done at the same sort of time, so naturally i'm thinking an up-rated clutch is going to be required (I've no faith in the OEM Honda Diesel clutches anyway). Problem is, there doesn't seem to be many options out there for the N22 Civic. Exedy website suggests they supply a clutch for the Accord with the 2.2 CDTi engine (product code: HCD304) but doesn't indicate whether it would fit the civic or not (I imagine it should as its the same engine). I've read Chip's thread regarding the CG motorsport clutch - which is being sold on eBay but I've never heard of that company before.
Can anyone suggest a good uprated clutch to handle the remap? And where to get hold of it? Cuz i'm really struggling here.

I'll go for LuK clutch as decided from many things now. They give me 100,000 kilometers guarantee and they told that isnt matter if car is remapped/tuned. It is Self Adjusting Clutch and there is no judder. They provide for engine N22A2 complete kit with or without flywheel...

You got an adress or website where I can order one? My clutch started to slip 400km ago and I wont drive it because I'm afraid I'll break the flywheel. I want to chip my car to 180hp and I'm afraid the 325 clutch won't hold it.

Find contact on their website: LuK (UK) Ltd. | Worldwide | Worldwide Locations

Or just go on ebay.uk, and put in search "Civic 2.2 LuK clutch" and ask seller there what you want to know.
I go with my company here to order (InterCars) - not over ebay. And they told me for guarantee and there is no matter if car is tuned/remapped...
(so for now this is univestigated territory because I see on forum all go on CG 6 Paddle... I will try this one so will be some info about that later...).. I have Elite Stage 2 EGR OFF map...

I will send at first an e-mail to LuK company with my graphs of Torque and Power, and ask them all what I want to know about that clutch. I read most of your Threads Coste1l from the moment I registered on this forum (so know what you are talking about, and know all about your car...). I know that CG 6 Paddle is safe solution - but that judder makes me little concerned. I want to have same gentle clutch like this OEM and in the same time the one which can handle that Torque. Really - this 350lb/ft is not such a mountain. There just need some stronger pressure plate (see that from LuK is stronger for sure), and clutch with better material covered...
Will ask them over mail and see what LuK say...

P.S. I see that at ebay U.K, this Clutch kit cost 118 pounds (pretty cheap) and wondering why noone didnt try it until now!!! I must pay here in Croatia 220 pounds...

CG motorsport also do the sport clutch kit that handles 25% more power over the 325 clutch. I emailed Celtic tuning a while back and they assured me that they have had cars handling more than 350 ft/lbs of torque.

They also said that it is like oem to drive?

That is what they said so ????

My 6 paddle CG motorsport clutch had LUK stamped on it so they obviously can provide an uprated solution in house unless CG had done some machining on a standard LUK friction plate

I know OEM is made by LuK.. But is it the same clutch, same material, or better to say is Honda OEM also "Self-Adjusting Clutch (SAC)", and I just wondering why agent from InterCars told me that give guarantee, and it is not matter of REMAPED/TUNED cars... UH !!
It will be easier that some of you guys came to summer vacation in CROATIA and get one CG for me...

P.S. First step is to e-mail LuK...to see their words about Torque/slipping....

All manufacturers, suppliers and fitters offer warranties but will they keep to there word in this current climate when things fail...
The clutch is a consumable and far too easy to blame the driver for its early demise.
The Luk item is borderline and personally would not use it if remapping its far too expensive changing a clutch on these civics  to take a chance...

Will cg just reline the plate with Kevlar as have no issues with my current clutch anyone know?
