I have my FN2 at the dealership and they replaced the starter, so I ask them to install my Injen CAI part number SP1576P. A part I bought from USA designed for Civic Si. They call me and claim that;
>the part doesn't fit because the pipes/hoses are from an EU/Si-model
>there is a square air temp sensor with 5 wires instead of a round sensor(2 wires) as on Accords
>need to move my battery to make it fit
> foglights work in series ans need to remove both if I want this CAI
Why do I get the feeling that they have no clue? I have a great mechanic, but he is only available next week Monday. Should I just tell them to leave the CAI off and wait for my JDM specialist or is it the wrong part....

Was gonna say the engine in the FN2 is different to that in the Si plus you'll be lucky if any main dealer fits anything aftermarket unless its says Honda on it.

@Smurf79 I bought this specific one on the recommendation of a mate of mine who has a CW FN2 in Cape Town, and his mechanic fitted it without hassle. So I call him for advice and Honda stealers in CT say:staff can't accept calls during working hours!!!B.S as far as I'm concerned...

@ esterino
The Service Manager was prepared to install, but it seems they didn't know how. Will hear what my mechanic says on Monday, hopefully it fits and I get some more clout, we in JHB are + - 1300metres above sea-level and lose 20% power to altitude. Thanks guys appreciate your replies;)
