My car died today!
One minute after start up a small hill at home.

A short but loud piiip/whine and no response. No MIL and all the fuses seems to be okay. It has compression and the sound while starting seems the same.

What could be wrong?

Please help. Thanks

The fact that you still have compression and no nasty noises suggests that the basic engine is probably ok......I don't know how the HP fuel pump is driven on this engine, but if it is belt driven, could this have snapped?

Try disconnecting the battery and leave fo an hour before reconnecting ...

Might just have been some 'transient' fault in the ECU \ MICU ...

check under your turbo's breather cover..... it might be thats gone pop... which could fault the ecu.

Seems like its the fuel pump in the tank that is broken. Luckily it will be covered by warranty :)
Booked for monday.

News!

It was the high pressure fuel pump that was broken. A bit pricy :-O

Luckily it was also covered by warranty :)
