Hi. I have a mk8 2.2 diesel. Scanned yesterday .fault code p2004.imrc stuck open.no mil light on dash.car is hesitant at 1700 rpm..cleared fault.ran car for the day.no fault code listed.still hesitant..just took off cover.actuater is free and moving.vacuum pipes ok and sucking.took off pipe from solenoid to actuator..car revved perfect.no hesitation. Fault code came up imrc closed. Which is expected..cleared fault.replaced pipe.car now has hesitation back at 1700 rpm..is it the solenoid..black unit with pipes at fault or the butterfly actuator..even when at temp should the butterfly be fully open..hence the fault that showed..any advice on what to change...thanks...daza

Try swapping the IMRC EVR (solenoid) with the turbo boost EVR. I think they are the same on Civics

Hi.thankyou..I dont know what the turbo one is.the civic only has the one solenoid on the rocker cover with a couple of pipes going Into it
