Hi All,

Looking at buying a 2011 Civic and have seen one on a 60 plate, registered mid January 2011. Will this car be the 2011 updated version or the previous version?

Cheers!

I am correct in believing that there are small differences between the 10 & the 11 8th Gen? I seem to remember that they started producing the 11 version in Nov 2013? Just wanted to make sure I get an 11 instead of a late 10!

The main facelift was early 09. The only surefire way is to look at the Vin No in the windscreen as that contains the model year.

The only difference i can think you might be referring to is on the Type R models, as 11 plates might have the LSD factory fitted.

With all the other civics, the only difference is between 06-09 and 09-11. the latter being the facelift models.

I can see your logic.

The 9G hasn't had a facelift until the MY15 but the MY13 introduced DAB and a modified iMid setup and removed the seat bolt covers. The MY14 had some other minor changes so it's not out of the question that similar tweaks happened with the 8G year on year.
