Hello to all. As I wrote some time ago-I was after an used Civic. And finally I have put my hands on one! Its silver Civic Sport petrol in great condition. And I love it!
Anyway, my concern is-I was aware about firm suspension in Sport version but what I currently experience is beyond that, I think. Suspension is so firm that it does not bounce at all, I have pass every hole/speed bump on first gear or I hit the roof with my head! Is there anything that I can do about it? I have 17 inch alloys and I will replace them with 16, I think. But I think there is something wrong with suspension itself or its settings. Is it possible to adjust it somehow?
Thanks!

A 5-door Sport ? ...

I thought they had the same suspension setup as all 5-door Civics ...

That is, you are suffering from the 'linear' springs thet Honda fit ...

There is no suspension adjustment possible - but, there are lots of aftermarket solutions ...

Many people in here (including myself) have fitted the Eibach 'progressive' springs - these actually lower the car, but go over speedbumps better ! - from memory, they are around £160 for a set, + labour ...

If you want to go further, there are better shock absorbers available as well ...

1st thig to do would be push on all the corners off the car.
1. Does it move ?
2. Does it return to position when you let go ?
3. Any creaking noises from the suspension at all ?

The way you describe the suspension (hitting head on roof?!) doesn't sound right. I'd get it professionally checked out.

What tyre pressures are you running?

Thanks for all Your aswers/suggestions.
If I push the corners, it will go down and then back to position; it's very minor movement though-3-4cm; (my weight is 65kg btw). Tyre pressures are as should be according to the sticker on the door.
And-yes, it's noisy if going over the speed bumps or potholes. It's kinda 'clunk' noise. But I don't think it's famous bump stops issue, the noise is like metal-to-metal. I've booked my antiroll bars checked with friend, maybe that's the problem. Will post the results. Any other ideas appreciated...
Thanks!
