Hi guys,

Looking for some help finding companies that will provide car insurance where the policy holder has had previous insurance cancelled and made void.
Most companies state in the terms the wont insure someone who has had the insurance refused or made void.

My mates fathers insurance was made void and he will require new quotes.
It was voided as the car was registered in partners name when bought but he did not state this on policy.

Cheers

Probably a stupid question but... Have you tried confused.com or a similar comparison website?

how would you end up with 'void' insurance? Lying or not declaring something right?
This was explained in the original post. Please read everyting before posting

seems very harsh .... but then normally as part of the legal speel you are asked to check your documents to make sure they are accurate as any errors could invalidate your cover...obviously this is what has happened

insurance isnt something id over-look

as gjackson says best go to a broker who will be able to find cover through specialist insurers. Its unlikely to be anywhere near as cheap as cover for someone who has not had this problem as it is likely to have been classed as a form of Fraud. In these circumstances insurers are then very wary of taking on Policy holders who have been viewed rightly or wrongly as previously making a fraudulent claim/declaration
