Should this water not drain ? I went to fill cat this evening and there was a lot of water laying inside.I had to use paper towel to wipe it out before unscrewing cap and filling up any ideas ?

I can't see a drain hole either but I've never had water collecting under the flap...

Very odd. Mine has a drain hole at the lowest point, exactly where you would expect it, its clear to be seen by all.

I too have water around the filler cap. I may see whether I can drill a small drain hole.

Water collects in mine and mixes with traces of diesel. It makes a right mess of the paintwork if it rains enough to overflow.

I found a very small hole filled with dirt I poked it out with a small ziptie for now, I will try blowing it out with a airline at weekend

Mine is an Nov 2010 and it also suffered with water in the fuel filler recess. I didn't think it had a drain hole until I read this thread!

There is a drain hole there. Use a straightened-out paper clip as the small drain hole curves upwards, and the water simply drains away.

Ah great, hopefully mine has a drain plug then. Iv only had the car 3 weeks and did notice water/diesel sitting in there, il give it a clean and try unblock the drain hole if i have one, Thanks for the info =)
