well came home last night from a night out and i always check the car, but didnt last night for some reason, woke up this morning went out to the car to find some ******** (i have an idea who) had bricked it attempted to smash the drivers window and windscreen, i am absolutely fuming it has dented the body scratched the windscreen(which i replaced 3 weeks ago), and smashed my heko wind deflector

called the police they arrived but said the cannot do anything if there are no witnesses which i find pish so will have to wait and see whats happining

as for the person i think it is we had a feud a while back but everything was over so i thought, he stays right across the road from me the brick came from his wall, he was standing hiding behind a curtain at the window when i first noticed it, when he seen i was on the phone his dad took him away in the car, when police arrived his girlfriend was hiding behind the curtain, i so want to smash his meesly face in but the police will be right back at my door because of the previous arguments

what do i do? i know it was him but cant prove it

Wow, genuinely gutted for you mate. Don't do anything stupid though. Your car can be fixed!
Just carry on as normal like nothing happened. If they see you reacting (assuming it was them) then they'll feel like they won.
Easier said than done though, I'd be whipping out some heavy artillery.

Nasty mate, thats harsh, and btw call the police and say you want the stone checked for evidence, you can get fingerpints of stone and easily transfer DNA

i feel for u bud as someone key'd my car i know who did it. and but its that type of person u cant doing anything to as they will just do it back twice as bad. and he has always got **** cars. dont lower yourself to his level.

but on the other hand shall we make a big group of us and go take out all if the people who think they can just ruein our pride and joys. just go round the country

its not than dan he is an absolute ***** he is the biggest wimp i have every seen, he is a timid little puppy sober but with a drink he thinks hes hard as **** but when i go for him he phones the police straight away and i get lifted

It's exceptionally hard to get prints but not impossible, and the DNA is easy as pie..... it's a rough surace and will hold loads... they need to re-visit locard and Forensic Science 101... Locard said that every contact will leave a trace, it's Locards principle and the first thing your taught! They just don't want to work.... :/

I check my car at least twice a day just in case this ever happens to me. In my experience the police won't do anything as it just isn't serious enough to them, and there's a massive lack of evidence. The fact that you recently got Hekos and a new windscreen mean its possible it was intentional rather than a random attack. And as they didn't finish the job means either they really ARE pathetic or someone stopped them.

It seems a bit odd your neighbour would act like that, but don't do anything rash. It may be that they were innocently looking, and the guys paranoia made him want to disappear. The last thing you want to do is retaliate and it be the wrong person, or get in trouble again. When I get it into my head that I know someone's done something I lay low and wait... There's a time and a place. The best answer may not be to do do anything! Sometimes the potential threat is enough. If you did anything now you'd probably find your car being finished off and whoever did it would be laughing! Bide your time and think seriously about how you want to handle it.

I remember when my wife's car was side scrapped on both sides by our builders building the house a while back. We were fuming and the next door neighbour informed us when we came back from holiday.

The police did nothing at all and the builders kept quite. They got away with it and my wife lost all her no claims and had to fork out £350 excess!!!!

Police are crap - they can't be bothered too much paperwork for them. It is disgusting- why do we even bother paying council tax when a********* like this get away with it!

Seriously feel for you mate. People that do things to cars have not got the balls the say something to your face, hence why they do it when it is dark. It's a joke. And the police, well.... They rather sit in a car and do people for not having washer fluid on there windscreen !!!! THe police do nothing now a days!

I was pissed off when some bent my mates windscreen wiper , so I can imaging how you feel!!!

Just bide your time and it will come back around, that's what I'm doing.
