On our old V70 I used to use a slightly damp cloth and rub a good quality moisturising soap (eg. Dove) onto the cloth and then onto the seats. Leave to dry and buff if you want. It cleans and nourishes it.

AmyF, I was thinking of doing something similar a long time ago however I readthat this is not the best thing to do as you disturb the natural PH level of the leather and may do more damage than good.

How long did you do this for?

Our volvo was R reg so the leather wasn't new new and had softened with age. We sold it a few years ago but I cleaned the seats this way weekly for the year we owned it and it looked fine.
