I'm sorry to ask what might be such a simple question

I have a 2007 1.4 i-DSI - Looked in the manual and a lot of places online and am not in the position to look myself before my trip to Halfords this weekend, what fuel filter shape/type will i need to pick up?

Do not go to Halfords. OEM is always best as some aftermarket filters can give you problems.
I was just going to post the same thing but you beat me to it by 60 seconds ;)

I'd also say consider buying a genuine Honda fuel filter. Have a look here for your model https://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/honda-shop/genuine-honda-civic-1-4-1-8-petrol-fuel-filter/

They will also ensure you get the exact correct one for your car and that it will be a genuine Honda one.

I've just had a quick mooch on Euro Car Parts and Halfords website for a 2007 model fuel filter and neither came up with any results.
