As I have red wheel nuts I want to see if there is a way of removing and fitting them without scratching them.

I'm sure I read somewhere on here that there is a socket that is plastic lined that you can get from halfords but I can't find it anywhere.

If someone can point me in the right direction or offer an alternative it will be appreciated

I think most of the tools are lined on the outside to prevent damage to the wheel not the nut. Use a good fitting 6 point socket and you shouldnt have a problem, use a poor fitting 6 point or a 12point and chances are you will mark the nuts.

I'm sure there was a liner you could get so that it protected them. All you had to do was use the socket a size up from what you usually use so it fits
