hi guys i am getting 2.2 es in couple of days
i never had diesel car before so ???

in my old petrol car to keep the engine clean i always used the expensive 97 octane petrol.
i can see in some petrol garages there is two diffrent diesel quality avaliable like( petrols 95 octane and 97 ocn]tane) i know what does it mean for petrol so i use the 97 to keep the engine clean.

do u recomened that i use the expensive diesel to keep the my new engine clear as well ?
or for diesels is there any other thingthat i dont know
what is the diffirence between this expensive diesel and cheaper diesel?

will it help to keep the egine clean

i own a 1994 esi civic as well with the 97 octane perol iwas never in need of using injector cleaner the car still goes like nutter the engine is so clean
i want to have my new diesel as healty as possible

Ive had diesel engines for years and tried all the fuels available....I would like to have seen an appreciable difference. Sadly.... I've never seen any for the cost increase to justify.
IMO..Dont bother with expensive fuels..They just arnt cost effective.

You are paying for detergents and cetane rating with BP ultimate and the esso offering.
The only reason I pay the extra is so the fuel lines, pump etc stay clean.
But bg44 / 244 will do the same thing.

I heard of a couple of fuel pumps dying while using Aral Ultimate. I haven't had any problems with it with my Yaris, though I never used it with the Civic... someone who should know about it told me there is absolutely no gain in using those extra fuels.
