Does anyone know who is the owner of a white FN2 that was on track at last years Japfest at Knockhill? Its a very fast car as I struggled to get past it on the main straight.

Any ideas? I'd like to see its spec.

Yeah a 1993 Lude.

What have you done to your CTR? Like I said I thought it was rapid up the straight!

Aww yeah, you doing sls this year!? I love your prelude likes!! Power wise runs 225bhp, tdi north 3" exhaust with tegiwa manifold, smoothed airbox and fd2 oil pump kit! The car is on a bit of a diet tho with Fully stripped rear. Im entering SLS this year, probs be in your class! Its at sw motorsport for a full multipoint roll cage and lexan window kit th now! Cant wait to ge it back?! Are you at knockhill this weekend?! Would be great to get a chat? Im an SLS newbie but if been watching you from the sidelines, the lude is awesome!!

Many thanks.

I did find your build thread. TBH I am surprised that it is only putting out 225bhp, your gearing must be pretty good. I was carrying a passenger and a load of fuel that day I suppose.

Yes I am doing SLS again this year. I am putting weight into the car so I can drop into class E (<160 whp/T). My car is nowhere near ready yet and is stuck in a workshop waiting for me to get around to it.

If you need any advice ask away :)

No I use Federal 595 RSR as they are way cheaper.

What weight is your car, with you in it, approximately? I think you will be in class E. On the Performance HQ dyno (the main dyno for SLS) I got approx 21% transmission loss so applying that to your 225bhp gives approx 177 whp. If your stripped CTR weighs approx 1250kg (with you in it) that gives:

(177 bhp / 1250 kg)*1000 = 142 whp/T

Last year I was the only Honda in SLS so it will be good to have someone else. I think an S2K will be entering too but I think they will be in class D.

How sets of them did you go through last year! Yea that sounds about right although i havent had it weighed in yet! Would like to be at the sharp end of group so hopefully group e rather than struggling in group D!!

On top of the SLS days I did TrackScotland track days and sprint at Ingliston and still have meat on my original tyres. They only reason I'm getting a new set is that a few chunks of rubber have been taken out of them.

SLS does not stress out your tyres as you are not on track for that much. There are 2 x 20 min warm up sessions in the morning that are optional, I usually just go out for a quick blast. The qualification is generally 2 x 2 laps and the final is a single lap. Some competitors struggle to get heat into their tyres. I don't have a problem though.

Do you have a de-cat! I read in the regs that you must have a cat. But doesnt say anything about it working! Dude at SW motorsport was tellin me to get an old one and rip it to bits and just fit it as a bit o pipe basically! Confused?!?!?

The MSA rule book says in Section J 5.16.7.

Exhaust catalytic converters must be fitted to all
petrol engined production based saloon, touring and
sports cars, including specialist production and kit
cars, manufactured after 31/12/99. They may be
specified for certain other formulae. Competitors are
reminded of their obligation to maintain such
equipment on a vehicle used on the highway where
government legislation requires it.
I don't know how the scrutineer would tell other wise

I am not forced to fit a CAT for SLS due to the age of my car, and I don't have one fitted even for my MOT. Being a 1993 JDM import it is put through a non-cat MOT emission test.

I didn't make it to round 1 as my 2nd child was born the night before. I am all set for this weekends round 2 & 3. I see you are entering, nice one.

How about that guess of your whp [smilie=tongue.gif] only 1whp out.
