I would go back to the fitters mate.

Have you got auto setting for your wipers Gaz?
i dont know where i stand with going back to the fitters it was national windscreens

no bud just the usual 1 up (single swipe) 3 down (intermitent, slow and fast) then the frequency setting

My mum had a similar problem on her car after having the windscreen replaced. Autoglass swore blind that they wouldn't have touched the wipers at all......so the wiper motors that I found disconnected must have unplugged themselves then.....I wasn't impressed.

Phone them up and tell them the problem.

They'll probably tell you it's nothing to do with them but seems a bit of a coincidence.

If the person on the phone starts their pish ask for the manager.

Sorry, I went off on a bit of a tangent there lol. I just meant take it back to the garage and don't take no for a answer.

will give them a call tomorrow

it must have been them because it was fine before it when in

what else could it be?
Could be a loose connection of faulty relay perhaps? Hopefully it's something simple like they disconnected something and didn't reconnect it properly.

I have the same problem, but my windscreen wasn't replaced.

If you have this fault now, it's may be the rain sensor no ?
If you've got the same symptoms as geemac (wipers staying on no matter what setting you put them in then just turning off wherever they are on the windscreen) I doubt it's the rain sensor at fault.

As above, it's likely to be a loose connection somewhere or a faulty relay.

The only thing I can think that would stop the wipers in the middle of the screen is a sudden loss of power to the motors.

I have this problem, wether by coincidence but i think it started happening when i had the window replaced.

Icant see how the sensor could make the wipers stop about 2 inches form the down position. Honda say there are sensors in the bumper aswell somewhere, but i assume there well hidden as ive had my front bumper off for other reasons.

Only conclusion i came to was that the bushes were worn in the wiper motor causing them to be out of phase sometimes and causing the wipers to stop out of place and sometimes to miss the stop completely causing it to do another 'cycle'

The rain sensor's located on the windscreen, just forward of the rear view mirror.

But as you said, I can't see how a faulty sensor would produce those symptoms.

Chances are they've knocked something, although if they'll do something about it is another matter. same company fitted a new windscreen for me, and just after i signed the job sheet he handed me my snapped rear view mirror. I wasnt going to complain until it started raining that night and when i turned my wipers on, realised the blades werent fitted properly and the metal arm scored a great big semi circle on my new glass!

fitter wise they employ total muppets, but the management side are very good. i got another new windscreen, wiper blades and mirror. bring it to their attention most definitely, and if needs be get a garage to look at the problem to back you up.

Anyone find a solution to this? Mine starting doing the same thing as the weather turned cold and wet. I had a new screen at the beginning of the summer but had no problems up to now.
Same symptoms... wipers will not park correctly and will not switch of sometimes and auto sense got a mind of its own!
Im reluctant to start replacing things without upstanding why

This very issue reared its head on my car this weekend! it started with the wiper stopping a few inch up the screen but now its missing its stop when on intermittent.

Not looking forward for bill to fix it! ill put up with it for now i guess its better than them stopping working altogether.
