Made a check to see how much the pollen filter was clogged; and I noticed that it was installed in the reverse flow direction. (That means the lip seal will not function well against the oncoming air and some dirt will bypass the filter). Went to the service, showed it and requested a new one FOC. They replaced it right away and reported for the claim.
I guess that can be a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon assembly!;)

Pollen filter fun

Guys - worth checking your pollen filter as mine resembled a ploughed field when I checked yesterday! As usual, I took the dealers word some 10k miles ago that it had been changed but I'm 100% sure it was the original. If you follow the manual you'll never get the rascal out as the plastic tray beneath the glove box gets in the way. Tug down and it pops out from the clips. Then slide the new one in. Cost £14 and now I breath fresh air again!:p
