I just got my xcarlink today as shown in the howto I was thinking of putting it in that compartment near handbrake. Now I just tried it with a play.com usb stick, its not particularly large size in terms of length and wont be able to shut the door with it in unless I mount it differently or use a usb cable or smaller factor usb stick which I do have but they are not as easily to source
