I have a 2007 civic ex with xenon bulbs on headlights as standard but I'm having major problems.

I know the manual says to take the car to the garage to change these but I thought since the bulbs aren't too expensive I'd have a go.

Got the old bulb out (after some struggling) put the new one in place and it didn't same to locate properly, bulb was wobbling all over when I plugged the lead back in.

Needless to say it didn't work.

I took the fuse back out, removed the bulb from the holder. got the bulb working by just plugging the lead in when the bulb wasn't in the holder.

Refit the bulb (was still loose), plugged the lead back in and it's stopped working again.

has anyone changed these before? If so any advice? Also how hard is it to replace the ballast/is it possible to check the Ballast or bulbs to narrow down the problem?

Thanks

Hi last time i changed mine was over a year ago... what i recall was
1)remove bulb cover
2)undo the 12v power connecter
3)remove the bulb holder plastic locking ring
4)remove the bulb from the headlight
5)reversal as above with new bulb :)
