1.8 2007 - Will not start

A long time since I've posted in here, hoping someone in this great forum and font of Civic knowledge can offer some help with a Civic that has me and my mate stumped:

Trying to get a 1.8 to start that hasn't been started in about 9 or10 months since it was driven into its current spot. It cranks but will not start, when I take my finger off the start button it gives a little pop but nothing whilst cranking.

It's not the fuel inertia switch, or the key code (well no green key flashing up). No faults showing on the diagnostic tool (it's my mates one he uses for his garage so a commercial one, not a ÂŁ20 cheapy, although no idea what type) other than an AC flap on drivers side, and possibly the air temp sensor.

Battery fully charged, connecting to jump leads to supplement as it's being cranked for a long time.

Fuel is being delivered, spark plugs are wet, each of them is sparking. Fresh fuel has been added to the tank.

Coil packs are looking a little rough, a couple with cracks in but no faults recorded and plugs sparking.

My hunch tells me it has to be a simple matter, it was running when it was parked up, so it must be related to either air, fuel, or spark. Possibly all 3 if the timing has gone but it seems to me unlikely that, can the timing reset or need re-learned if the battery goes dead for a long period?

Not tested fuel pressure yet, so possible fuel is getting there but not enough of it, would still expect some kind of spluttery start up though.

Taken off the airbox to see if that helped and it didn't, the intake flap is closed when it attempts to start but I think that's how it should be? Could the ambient sensor cause an issue with the amount of air it takes in?

Oh and it won't start with the diagnostic plugged in either which is another starting problem issue I've come across.

Has anyone got any ideas or even better experienced a similar issue?

Any help or suggestions will be very gratefully received.

Haven't checked to see if the flap moves on the throttle, we did move it open and watch it pull in on attempting to start so it definitely closes. Will have a look at that although woudl expect to see an error code if it wasn't.
There's no error flagging on diagnostic for crank sensor bud possible culprit, checked compression and whilst there's some variance I don't think timing is out.
Fuel line has been cleared out and fresh fuel in tank, fuel is being pumped through, getting sparks on all plugs, and they're wet from the fuel, cleaned them all up too, even put a new battery in just to rule out voltage sensitivity
Potential culprits; fuel pressure, injectors not spraying sufficiently, not enough air, timing/crank position
I'm certain it will be a really simple issue when it's discovered but we're stuck at the moment
