That is often a sign your battery is low and very close to disabling the starter motor to conserve what power is left for other systems.

Why would you want/need 'other systems' if you can't start the bloody car K?

So things like the radio/headunit don't lose your settings for example.

It ensures things that need to tick over still can.

Having re-read the original post - it only comes on for 1 second.



I'm sure a lot of lights briefly come on until diagnosis is complete so nothing to worry about.


My comment was aimed at the check system message when the starter motor won't turn.
