There seems to be two types of illumination to what i can gather, one US spec and the other EU spec, the US spec one has a bit more commitment to dash stripping, i think this is down to the way the lighting can be controlled by the dash light dimmer.
The EU spec seems to be just a simple bright when the doors are open and a simple dim when the lights are operated not being able to control brightness by the dash control unless im wrong of course.

However my kit is can be 100% oem plug & play and requires no dash stripping and can easily be fitted in under 15 minutes if you have done it before while being brighter and having more option than the oem kit as well as a fraction of the price

Hi Rick, i had a look at your kits on ebay, i'm really tempted in buying your kit, its a really cool idea that you can control the brightness with a remote without affecting the main dash brightness like it does with the Honda kit.
My advice pay extra for the plug & play option as fitting is then childs play and at the moment I have 10% of all prices on ebay for 26 hours:wink3:

I ordered a led foot well kit last night of Rick on here and was worried about that exact issue of the led lights being too bright at night so purchased the dimming kit,I am glad after seeing this thread this morning ,some people might prefer the brightness at night but I think I would prefer the option to adjust light level to suit.
Personally I have never fitted dimmer kit it any of my cars but they are popular on the one plug n play kits
