The multi function display in my 2.2 EX seems to have developed a fault. The display works perfectly well for all the normal info, but none of the warning symbols are displaying any more. Just to clarify, these are the symbols for low fuel, tailgate open, door open, key in ignition etc. Basically anything which is displayed in orange is no longer coming up- the screen just goes blank until you acknowlege the warning by pressing the info button, then the screen returns to the normal white display. Anybody ever had anything like this? Scared to think what it might cost to get diagnosed and repaired. If it's not easily fixed I'll just live with it as all of the important warnings have their own light on the dash anyway, but would like it working again.

Nope, but it could be a bug so i would say remove negative cable from battery for a short time to reset the system.
Already tried that I'm afraid, didn't make any difference. Could it be a loose connection? Seems strange that it's only the orange elements are affected and the rest of the display works ok.
Possibly a loose connection but if not then I'd guess either a faulty display or MICU.

Got anyone you know with an 8G? Swap the dials out and get if it's the unit or something further back.
Well I don't think I know anyone wiht an 8G who would let me dismantle their dash! Might have a poke about myself at the weekend to see if it is a connection thing. Think it might be deeper than that though.
