The Nokia 6300 is well known for having a poor implementation of the Bluetooth standard.
I've witnessed it with a colleague. Conversatons appear very 'choppy'.
I think it's along the lines of it not supporting two way conversations via bluetooth - duplex?

I haven't experenced that? The phone seems very good to me. Light weight, not to bad a battery life, good features - calander, camera pc sync etc and connects to the car every time (my old nokia sometimes didn't connect for about a minute after the car had started) No one has every complained that they can't hear me in the car....?
This phone is (apparently) the business choice of phone, so the bluetooth should work.... Clive242 was this issue in the civic or when using a different bluetooth handsfree kit??

Hi,
Colleagues experienced problems with 4 different bluetooth headsets and (differenct manufacturer) visor units. A variety of vehicles including one Civic.

The problems were along the lines of background vehicle noise being transmitted over bluetooth causing excessive voice clipping meaning the other person couldn't understand what was being said.

Eventually O2 agreed there was a problem with the 6300 and replaced with Sony Ericsson handsets which have since been OK. I believe we also have a similar problem with the MIO A701 over Bluetooth.

That was our experience, and seems much improved since we changed to a different handset.

Cheers
