Hello All,
Something that's been on my mind recently that I'd like some reassurance or guidance on.
I've got a 2012 2.2 ES with almost 140K miles on the clock now, but I'm worried that the car is approaching 7 years old and has hit such high mileage on, I expect, the original Timing Chain.
Does anyone know what the replacement intervals for these are? Are they expected to last the life of the car? I can't see it referenced anywhere in the service book.
Does anyone know the symptoms of a timing chain issue - when do I need to worry? Will there be a EML light?
Lastly, how much would it cost to inspect or replace when I do suspect a fault?
Thanks in advance as always!
