Confused Stop Start

Hi, The manual states for 1.6 diesel to keep the engine running for about 10 seconds before turning ignition off. However when in stop start mode engine cuts out right away, so will not allow this option. Is this counter productive or am I missing something.

Maybe it means when you finish your journey it's to cool the turbo . Just hold the clutch in for 10 to 20 secs . Shouldn't be a problem unless you just driven your car hard and stop it straight away.
