Trying to monitor the DPF of a Civic 2013 idtec 1.6 via ELM327 Vgate iCae2 adapter I need some help...
1. I get this error message in Script Log Viewer "Info: Script validation start" "Validation failed: scriptAuthor not set"
2. at manage scripts tab I also get error message "Author null" " file scriptAuthor not set"
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
How do you try to monitor your DPF? I posted PIDs for DPF in this topic, that should work for all iDTEC engines (maybe Block address can differ for MT and AT). Have you tried it?
And what do you want to do with script engine in Torque? the error you have posted says clear what is wrong, but you obviously don't understand is. Then my advise - forget about scripts if you are not a software developer and cannot interpret error messages. Use PIDs instead.

I own a MT Civic 1.6 diesel 2013 model.
I followed your instuctions about script because I mistaken thought that it is mandatory for the use of PIDs..
My goal with Torque is to know when regen of DPF starts so I wont stop regen procedure before it is completed.
Anyway I am not a programmer but I try to go a bit deeper than simple user
I read from this forum and I am thankful to people like you that share knowledge.

i haven't written any instructions that in any word mentioned scripting.
My suggestion (as i wrote here already) if you want to use Torque (all forther described actions need to be done in Torque, not in Android or car settings!):
1. import PIDs,
2. configure icon in dashboard for active regen,
3. add alarm for active regen PID.
In that case you can hear alarm as soon as regen starts, and you can always check how it goes taking Torque to foreground.
Sure Torque must work in background always, making it possible to check PID states.

I have read your posts.
The behavior of your Tourer is different from my car.
I have a regular regeneration, every 450/600 km depending on the type of journey. The range only gets longer if I go over 150 km/h on the motorway. Regeneration lasts 12/13 minutes.
I have 260,000km
Your 12g PM in the DPF is starting to get a little high and no signs of a regeneration, you might want to check your DPF pressure sensor and pipes for blockage.

FYI
1/ At less than 7g the DPF system will automatically clean itself whilst driving once the DPF is up to correct operating temperature.
2/ At 7-11g the system will attempt to clean itself whilst driving regardless of DPF temperature.
3/ At 11-15g the system will alert the driver by blinking the DPF warning light on the dashboard. The owner should then follow the driving instruction explained in the owner’s manual to help clean the system. What is it? This requires a constant speed of at least 37mph to be maintained for up to 15 minutes. The best thing you can do is go for a 20-mile motorway run. Majority of the times this cures the warning. D) Above 16g the system will shut down to prevent damage due to a blockage occurring and the warning light will then be permanently illuminated.(Picture A) .If the owners continues driving with this light on permanently then the message may change to the exclamation mark symbol.(Picture B) .At this time you will need to go to the Honda dealer for them to hook up the HDS system to check whether you has a system fault or blocked . If they find the system above 16g then carry out a

I am very thakful to forum and you personaly for sharing essential knowledge that HONDA had the responsibility to share but neglected to!
Coming to this is there any sensor or comercial add on besides obd + Torque that can added to cars control panel and show when regen starts in order driver not to stop car until it completed?
Aditionally I have noticed some markers that change a lot during regen:
1.DPF Calc Flow went 200m3/h from 40 m3/h
2.DPF Diff Pressure lowered from 1psi to 0,0 psi
3. EGT from 650 to 140 celcius.
Are these markers or any other markers distivtive so we can cearch in market for ex pressure DPF instument and use t next to oil pressure in cars control panel?

Sorry if I ask thing known for People or you here in this forum but I believe that a lot of people could be benefited through that.

No, i don't know any ready-made solution for this.
Right now (as i wrote above) i use following dashboard https://www.civinfo.com/threads/dpf-follow-up-with-honda-hds-software.417252/post-5560882 with Torque.

1. It depends on driving conditions - mostly on accelerator usage => RPM, (speed, used gear,) evtl. stops on crossroads / traffic lights, etc.
2. Diff pressure depends from flow and soot amount. Difference is higher when flow is high, difference should get lower during/after regen.

EGT 1 is the temperature, that can be controlled to see the regeneration attempts: active regen normally pumps its value to range 540-640 °C, passive regen can heat it up to 460 °C.
If your EGT drops to value lower than 300°C then it just means that driving conditios aren't optimal for regen, and ECU stops adding fuel to exaust to get high temp. ECU will start adding fuel again if it will think that driving conditions are appropriate for active regen - this will raise EGT to needed value.

and if you wonder why is so important to know calculated PM in the filter I will explain.
If you know when your DPF is full and need a regen you avoid making a series of consecutive short trips with the risk of DPF lamp on, limp mode and a forced regen necessary.
You see my DPF after 1000 km mixed roads is now 12 grams, quite full, I could assure you for experience that 20 grams is limp mode and a forced regen mandatory.
Now if I made series of short trips, 20-30 few km city trips for example, my DPF lamp will be again on for sure.
So I know now that I have to do a highway trip in the next weeks to clean my DPF or it will try to start regen itself everytime, maybe just when i turn off the car... fuel in the engine oil, and all other problems of a regen forced to stop in the middle...
Why Honda has not put a simple indicator of pm in the filter and light to warn when regen occurs is a mistery... would be very useful. So we had to try custom methods to retrieve this data...
i sent an e-mail to Honda Europe just to ask why they haven't added a warning lamp....
of course, they answered politely that they would contact the relative dpt of Honda....
Still waiting:sleep:

Caught my Tourer's first regen since monitoring. I was on long highway trip so there was opportunity to start one at will, but it started only when PM calc was more than 7 g.
@Vasilich Active regen value was 1114114.
I'm sharing screenshots with other data. One is just before regen ended and one right after. View attachment 327979 View attachment 327980
Hello, how did you insert symbols for DPF (red or orange symbols when is filled or empty)

if it was the question (i am missing question mark in your sentence to be sure) - then in torque dashboard - add dial - indicator display.
Make sure you use version 1.12.
Thank you so much for adding knowledge to newbies like me!
If I am not taking advantage of your kindness I want to ask some questions about Honda Civic 1.6 Diesel 2013 manual transmission vehicle...
1. Is there a way to monitor manual gear fluid temperature with custom PIDs ?
2. Oil pressure for engine oil custom PID?
3. Engine oil custom PID (any idea about minimum and max it goes?)
4. Fuel pressure custom PID
4. Where can somebody find a list of PIDs for this car? (I have searched for hours but ...dont know where to look)

Thanks in advance

Hello and greetings from Germany.
Thanks to this topic, I have now managed to get the PM value displayed in the Carscanner app. Now all I'm missing is the exhaust gas temperature EGT1. Unfortunately, the PIDs specified here do not work on my 2008 Honda Accord CW3.

What value does it return on request (you cann see it with "test PID" in PID editing)?
And please put your images under spoiler or image tag.
Unfortunately, I can't see a value for the PID for EGR. The PID for time, km and consumption also work and are already available under the carscanner profile for the CR-V. All that's missing is a PID for EGR1, so to speak.

Ok. Please post screenshot of test results for this PID, as I asked earlier: Torque - Settings - Manage extra PIDs/Sensors - EGT PID - Edit - Test button.

And it seems that you have really outdated version of Torque. Please update it to latest version.

That just means that your ECU doesn't give that information, or that your temperature sensor is faulty.
Have you the possibility to connect HDS software to your Honda? Does it show correct values of EGT?
