Hi guys, sorry if this isn't the correct place!

My civic's (Petrol Type S 06 plate) engine management light came on a few days ago, along with the screen telling me to 'check system' with the warning lights; power steering, abs, airbag, vsa, airbag' all lighting up (although these features still work as they light up) along with losing the rev counter, speedometer and temp gauge; but only intermittently and would work, then stop, work then stop etc with no pattern just sometimes works for a couple of minutes then doesn't, only works at random points (almost like something is loose?) .

Took it to my local dealer today and 2 and a half hours later (and ÂŁ80) they have told me I need a new Gauge Control Module as it's faulty. And quoted me a wopping ÂŁ473 (without tax) for it!? The labor is only ÂŁ43.

Can I buy one myself cheaper? Are they trying to just get money from me?

Any suggestions would be great!? :(

Any breaker should be able to give you one, I got one from a crashed CTR for about ÂŁ20 a year ago for tinkering with but sold it on.
