Hello

I am just curious if anyone knows of, our had experience with a tuning company for their type r in the south Wales region? I have come across goboost but just curious. Most companies like tdi, cpl and abp are too north for me to get any work done. Essentially I am getting very interested by an Eibach spring up grade and maybe even the fast road set up, so just looking into companies in my area which could do the work so I can quotes so I can budget for the upgrade. I am currently taking my car to Ryland Honda in Cardiff which I have found brilliant but would they fit aftermarket kit and do the FRSU?

Thanks for the reply, good to see another Type R owner on the Forums based in South Wales.

Do you know if there is ever a South Wales meet? I realy want to meet other like minded Type R drivers and also use it as an opportunity to dicuss mods and see IRL what they equate too. For example your Eibach Pro spring and spacer options i would love to see in person and see how the ride/handling is affected...rather than just rely on talk and interpretation.

Will give R Motion and email, so thanks again

I made the trip up to ABP for some work and it really wasn't all that bad, don't even think I used a full tank of fuel as I was just cruising. Anyway, I'm in Chepstow so if you ever wanted to see anything on my (...Not so extensive) mod list you're more than welcome to give me a shout.

I may very well take you up on that mate, thanks for the offer. Certainly flashpro, springs and frsu is what I am really interested in. As much as I would love too, I am not looking at a mod list as long as some on this forum. Tegiwa induction and driven crazy scoop is first, then provision spacers and springs then maybe exhaust. Nothing more than that.

Thanks again for the offer, will be in touch

Cheers for the PM :)

How much was the Spring and FRSU from ABP if you dont mind me asking? Can they do it in one day so you drive up early, have the work done while you chill and drive back same day? They also do servicing? May get it done at the same time

If I remember right it cost ÂŁ498 in the worst case which need 2 chamber bolt for the front and 4 shims for the rear, but mine was slightly less, then ÂŁ220 for the 15mm spacer and it is free fitting while you getting the spring and FRSU at the same time , I only went for 15mm drop while had 30mm on ep3 and found that very impractical !

I would highly recommend to drive up and get the job done and I am pretty sure they can sort out the car on the same day! I had mine spring and FRSU done within 4 hrs ! But obviously if you wan service too will take longer! I drove up early every time to avoid traffic and as well as they can finish early to avoid afternoon traffic too! On 2 occasion and I had made my trip up to abp then go to Cheshire oaks for shopping with wife , so could made an excuse to drive up there!!

I went up about 4 weeks ago. Spent 600quid as they fit my brake lines for me at the same time. But yea, I was there at 0830, they got my car in soon as they could with the short notice I asked for, and I was on the way home at 1630. Theres a little pub a mile away I walked to for some lunch, otherwise just crashed out with my iPad. The prices for just getting FRSU and such is on their part of this forum. Oh also, Took just over 2hrs to mooch up there with the morning traffic IIRC.
