Horrible noise when i lift off after heavy braking

Hello guys,

I'm already looking to upgrade my pads as the oem ones are poo

However i basically am concerned that i may have warped discs.

When i bought the char in august last year it had FSH, so i imagined it could come with brakes.

however on my first night out on a spirited drive i noticed that when i lifted off a horrible clunking noise happened after heavy braking.

I phoned my friend who said if the car hadn't been used in a while the vehicle may have had some deposits that were getting caught and it would probably be ok...

Anyway i carried on as normal and had no more problems.

Recently however after heavy braking when i lift off i can hear a horrible metal noise... i can only describe it of a whirly deep metal noise, almost as if you were to rub two bits of thick metal together in a circular motion.

However my brakes do not feel ineffective (unless hot).

Basically i don't want to waste money on new discs if i don't need them.

has anyone got any ideas?

Best thing to do is get the wheel off and have a look mate; without getting eyes on it's going to be difficult to tell. Could be binding or the pads not freely moving in the caliper?

(It's all go with FrankstaH topics this morning ;))

There is a minimum wear indicator clip on the inside pad. When the pad reaches min thickness it rubs on the disk. Get the wheels of and check the pad thicknesses properly. Whilst your there give them a proper clean, pads out, dust and crud wire brushed off, then pad slides copper greased and all re-assembled. then see if the problem is still there.
