I tried to check the level, too. Unfortunately, I couldn't see it either.

I then lifted the car up with the car jack and removed the metal undercoat underneath the engine. If you crawl under the car, you can see the level with a flashlight. If not, tell somebody to shake the bottle from above.

crap design after years of ownership i just pop the cap off, when cold, and check that way.

 

Lol I shined the light from a torch �� then shook the car, then I could see the coolant level in the bottle.

 

Cap off if it can't be seen.

 

What cap do you mean, I see two one on radiator and the other on reservoir bottle? Even tho you take the cap off how can you see the level?
