probably best to get 4 replacements and get a call out tyre place to swap em

 

I had a locking wheel nut key snap on me once. In the end I tried three different garages to get them off and one place really messed up one of my wheels in the process! Good luck.

 

Double check all your documents, service book, etc, if you are lucky then you'll find the locking wheel nut (lwn) number and you can order another one from Honda for about tenner.

I didn't find mine but I was able you take the car in to Honda (Bracknell) and they checked all their keys against my car and then sold me their one so I didn't have to wait for one on order, which I thought was pretty good service. Probably won't be much help to you though if you have a flat...:frown2:

 

Rung up the original supplying dealer to see if they had a record of number
No luck but they say dealers hold a set of skeleton keys........tough one getting there when you have a flat [smilie=umm.gif]

 

Actually there is a 6 digit number written on the front of the service book but I read somewhere on here they are 8 digits......any thoughts?

 

Tough ones to get off. Either hammer a socket over it that is too small and see if that works otherwise Mig weld a nut to the end of the locking nut and it'll come off. Good luck.

 

The code written in the service book page 7 is the key to get into the car. In my case, it's a letter and three numbers. The locking wheel nut code comes on a separate card is an 8 digit number and is not written in my service book.

What is a bit strange is that there is a Julian date on the card of 2212017 which translates to 17-Jan-2022. Now what's all that about?

 

Dunno if this is a strange coincodence but the key code I've got is Letter9** - bloody 9s everywhere!! :laugh2:

 

UPDATE: Right apparently the code is 3 digits and starts with a 9.......Guess what? The last 3 digits of the 6 digit number on the front of the service book begins with a 9.....so I've ordered that one....fingers crossed

 

On my 8 digit code, the last three numbers also start with a 9. xxxxx9xx

 

It’s the code under the heading key code on the business card in vehicle documents. The dealer charged me £10 + vat on Tuesday for a replacement
