wouldn't of thought you needed it especially if you use a top grade oil fully symphetic let us know if any good i used to use one years ago and could't tell the difference.

 

Says in the manual that additives arn't needed in the oil, however I put in it my old EP2 and was getting some v good mpg figures, as my FN1 has done 75k miles and I will be keeping for around 4 years, thought it's worth a try for a tenner, might be a few months before i start to see any difference if any though.

Car been serviced at main dealers, but a local garage the dealer use's serviced it when i brought it a couple of months back, so don't know what oil was used, prob semi synthetic 10w40

 

is this any differnt to the stuff at halfords called redex or somthing alone those lines?

 

No, Redex is a fuel additive to clean injectors etc.

Moyslip goes in your oil, similar to slick 50

 

Molyslip

Molyslip is NOT an additive but a supplement. An additive is included to improve the oil. If the oil is good you do not need an additive. A supplement is included to do something the oil does not. In the Molyslip instance it covers the metal surfaces with molybdenum disulphide to prevent metal to metal wear. Another point is that a supplement is used as a protection and not a cure. Most additives are just cures e.g. V.I. improvers.
