I have a '06 Civic 1.8 i-shift, which was an ex demo. factory/dealer fitted parking sensor pick up objects very well but after several seconds the beeps stop even though the objects remain in range. I have to re-engage reverse to get the reassurance of the beeps.
This is an irritation and on the whole doesn't bother me, but my garage was built in 50s and requires car to be parked up against side and as far back as possible.
Is it that the car needs to be moving for the sensors to work, and parking in garage at slow inch/stop speeds makes the sensors think the car is parked or, as on other manufacturers, should the beeps be continous while reverse is engaged?
Thanks in advance
