It's definitely worse today, engine cut out again, but when I'm going round corners it feels as though power steering is working then not. Aaaargh

Got diagnostic machine on it, and he said no fault codes have come up. To add further to the mystery, today I flashed my headlights to let another car out, and engine cut out for a split second again. Driving me nuts.

Further to my previous post. I don't know if this is anything to do with the above, but today the check system warning light appeared.I bought a cheap OBD scanner, and the code PO685 came up. Can anyone help.

I went out after the heavens exploded. I checked all fuses, they were fine. I then noticed bluey white gunk around battery terminals. I took them both off and gave them a good clean. I checked the ignition lights and they all went off when I started the car, can't believe it was something so simple. I wonder if that might fix the power steering issues.
