They will be fine, and you can use the standard tyre 225 40 18 as this will allow the outer corner of the tyre to sit slightly further in, or a 235 40 18 and the outer corner will be in the same place as the standard wheel and 17mm spacer. No issues with the wheel/tyre catching the suspension or arch liner, and don't worry about the speedo with the 235s, they will be slightly bigger on the diameter, which will make the speedo a little bit more accurate.

Bastuck 2,5" catback exhaust installed.. not overly happy with it. It is definitely not loud. But the sound is a much deeper rumble. A type s (1.8 sport) should have sounded this from the factory... Will investigate ways to make it louder at some point.

It's a 1.8 petrol. Decat and the police will scrap the car in Denmark... So not possible.

Options are deleting the content of the muffler

Oh I see. Then the only option would be to remove the content of the muffler.

Or you could look into one of them electronic exhaust valve kits you could install before the mufflers. From the press of a button, a solenoid valve would open to atmosphere and allow it to be louder on demand.

Generally can make it louder and possibly deeper sound, but not by very much though unfortunately. I don’t think to the point you might be requiring. If you removed the cat then you would seen a difference.

I agree. No point spending that much money on a sports cat just for a slight difference in sound. There won't be much difference in performance either. Unless you were to do a turbo conversion

Thanks man!! I am also satisifed with the result. Can't wait for the new rims to complete the build - then i can say i'm 100% done.

Hard to tell on the pictures - but i also did install the rear brake light strip LED upgrade for a more modern look when braking.

It feels like a totally different car compared to when it was all stock. The exhaust note from the catback have increased a little over time so it's actually sounding allright now. Not too aggressive, but it has got that deep rumble. And it's a real head-turner when cruising through the city

I know you mentioned not caring about the type R Fendors but have you had a look at those UEF/UFO style Fendors?? Your build looks sick! Hopeni can manage this with my 5dr eventually, I'm looking at swapping the engine too eventually 🤔 depends which way I turn. That beast you have is so pretty!

Hey, after a quick hour of searching I found that they are JDM custom taillights sold on eBay for £639 if you find them cheaper let me know, here a link n a pic 😭☠😂

I'm trying to get mine into a car show style too but it's also my weekly driver. So there's alot I need to do and it's only a standard R18 I'd feel abit daft taking it to shows with a stock engine 😅 might tweak a few things. I've got the overall shape down. And recently added deflectors, looking at the grill and maybe the hood not too sure yet but you've deffinetly given me ideas. Especially the tail lights 🤤 I'm considering them with the UFO front Fendors maybe spacer for the back wheels.
